Gulfport Masters Fine Arts Festival

GULFPORT, FLORIDA: The first ever two-day Gulfport Masters Fine Arts Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 20th and 21st, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both days. The festival will be held in Gulfport’s waterfront Veteran’s Park (5350 31st Avenue South). The event is a juried fine art and fine craft show with purchase awards and other prizes for participating artists. There is no charge for admission. The event is open to all and is family and pet-friendly.

Gulfport’s first two-day outdoor art event

Dozens of artists from throughout the nation are expected to participate in the event, offering work for display and sale. The festival will be Gulfport’s first two-day outdoor art event and is intended to highlight not only the work of local and regional fine artists but also work from artists who have not previously shown work in the area. A wide range of artistic media will be featured, including paintings, photography, glass, wood, metal, furniture and fiber. The festival builds on Gulfport’s reputation as an arts destination. In addition to the many artists residing and working in Gulfport, the city also hosts twice monthly art and gallery walks, the annual 2Cool Art Show and a number of other festivals and events throughout the year which offer opportunities for artists to show and sell their work.

Veteran’s Park

The event venue, Veteran’s Park, is a scenic location overlooking Boca Ciega Bay. It is adjacent to Gulfport’s Shore and Beach Boulevards, the hub of Gulfport’s vibrant waterfront district with a collection of independent restaurants, pubs, shops, art studios and galleries. Parking in the area is convenient and free.

The Gulfport Masters Fine Arts Festival is co-sponsored by the City of Gulfport, the Gulfport Merchants Association, and the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce.
